Lesson 2

Counting Stars recording-15th september 2015

In today's lesson we first rehearsed for ten minutes in our groups. After the ten minutes we set up our instruments and microphones and we practiced one time listening to the backing track in the background in order to help with our timing however the class for the first two practises with and without the song in the background was slow at transitioning between bridges,chorus' and even in the recorded performance we made the same mistakes therefore if I was to do this project again I would increase the efficiency of the transitions and slow down the drums because this caused our performance to speed up.

Lesson one

Lesson one-  Counting Stars 8/9/2015

Today in the lesson the class split up into different groups depending on what instrument you wanted to play for the final recording of the song Counting Stars by one republic. The instruments were guitars,bass,voice,drums and keyboard. I was on voice and we rehearsed the song whilst putting in harmonies and solo parts. On the recorded performance we did not put in the harmonies due to a lack of time so next lesson we will put in the harmonies and practice more so we will get it right in the actual performance and get the transitions right therefore it will sound better.
